The Magic 3, Help from within

There are three specific areas of the way we function that can help to influence our emotions very quickly with relatively simple techniques and methods. Because we have complete control of the three characteristics we can learn to use them in a way that can dramatically improve our performance and they are very reliable because they are always with us.

 

The three characteristics of our function that we have complete control of and will help performance are; 

1 Physiology

Physiology is how we act and behave, our body language and facial expressions. They can help your emotions and can also be very powerful when communicating.  

 2 Self talk

Everybody talks to themselves, whether it be in our heads or out loud when in private, we all do it. The key is that we use positive language when we do.

3 Visualisation

At some point in our lives we have all imagined ourselves doing something and created a vision of us doing it in our head. The crucial thing when doing this is that we visualise ourselves being successful. 

Visualisation also helps actual performance as well as confidence. When visualising ourselves performing the nerves that stimulate the muscles we use to perform that action actually respond, which basically means the brain and the nerves are working the same way they would if we were actually performing the action we are visualising. As a result visualisation has been shown to help confidence, developing technique and over all performance.

To help control our emotions and ultimately our results we must focus on Physiology, self talk and visualisation.
